BLOG & SNAP ON-THE-SPOT” CONTEST @ MYPENANG REUNION 2010
A. CONTEST
Go International Group’s “Blog & Snap On-the-Spot” about MYPENANG Reunion 2010 Blogging contest (“Contest”) will take place on 27 & 28 February 2010 (“Event”).
B. CONTEST PROCEDURES
- There will be 2 Contest Periods.
- The First Contest Period will begin at 5.00pm on 27 February 2010 at the main Event at Padang Kota Lama Penang and will last until 3.00am at G Hotel.
- The Second Contest Round will begin at about 5.00pm at the Event at Padang Kota Lama Penang and will last until the end of the event at 11.30pm.
How to participate:
- Register and get your Blogger Button Badge at the Go International Group Booth at the Event.
- During either one of the Contest Periods, you are to “Blog & Snap and Upload” on your MYPENANG REUNION 2010 experience (“Blog Entry”). You will be required to use your own equipment to snap and upload the pictures to your own blogs.
- If you have a blog, load up your completed Blog Entry and email us your blog link within either one of the Contest Periods to mypenangreunion@gmail.com.
- If you do not have a blog, just email us your Blog Entry and we will load it up on http://wwwfortheloveofpenang.wordpress.com Entries will be judged based on creativity and the following equally weighted judging criteria:
a. Novelty and originality of the Blog Entry.
b. The Blog Entry’s interest and appeal.
c. Interesting shots and commentary of the event – There will be numerous activities for you to blog about including performances by celebrity artistes from Taiwan, KL as well as Penang, the food & fashion bazaar, the visitors, and the Esplanade Penang.
- All Blog Entries will be judged by representatives from Go International Group. Judges’ decisions are final, conclusive and binding and no further appeal, enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
- Any Blog Entries received beyond the Contest Period(s) will not be considered. Go International Group reserves the right to extend the Contest Period(s) if it deems necessary and any extension will be communicated on a best effort basis.
- There will be two (2) winners for this Contest, one for each Contest Period. We will announce the winners after the Event.
- Courtesy of CANON the winning Blog Entries will get a Canon digital Model A 1100 camera worth approx RM700.
- The full and complete Terms & Conditions of this Contest shall be complied with by the participants if this Contest.

Welcome to the blog!
Hello there! You’ve found us. What we’re attempting to build here is not just an online campaign, not just a two-day festival, this is not just a fad. Inspired by my Mother who refuses to return more often, I’m drawn to this project because I only wish for Mum to return home to Penang for a visit. At least once a year. And I’m sure I’m not alone.
How many of you have family, relatives and friends living abroad? How long has it been since you’ve seen them? Penang has developed into a charming heritage city with a unique identity of its own. It’s always had that uniqueness. And I believe she’s got her charm back!
What we will intend to do with this blog, website, campaign and festival, is to grow an awareness amongst Penangites firstly, that its Penang has attained the UNESCO Heritage City status and that only means that there will be many good things lying ahead for the island and the mainland in the near future. Let’s grow Penang together! Thank you.
